Kia Kaha’s core guiding principle is kaitiakitanga or guardianship of the land. Our designs are inspired by Aotearoa – New Zealand’s unique landscapes and culture.
Our clothing is made from 100% natural fibres which are recyclable and biodegradable.
Kia Kaha means “Forever Strong” in te reo Maori. It is used as an expression of encouragement and inspiration. It can also mean “Stand Strong” which is what we do. Our strength comes from respecting our natural environment and working together with our artists.
Kia Kaha logo combines the Mangopare – hammerhead shark, representing strength and determination with Te Maunga – the mountain, symbolising our unique relationship with Aotearoa New Zealand.
